Applying a systems frame invites us to explore what the finance system could be if we used more human and organic language. It challenges us to explore within our system where there are tensions between a new way of thinking and how we frame the purpose of money at large.
We couldn’t get people to stop chatting! But that's obviously a great problem to have, especially if the conversations are as constructive, thought-provoking, and action-oriented as the ones we have seen at the inaugural Systemic Investing Summit.
At the Summit, 15 World Café roundtables and 17 "Forging Collaboration" sessions showed how the key concepts of systemic investing could be harnessed in service of a wide range of societal goods and across different system scales, geographic areas, and cultural contexts.
The inaugural Systemic Investing Summit is a wrap! And the 152 people in attendance made it clear that the moment for bringing systems thinking and practice to the world of sustainable finance has arrived.
