If Harry Kane was called Haroldinho, had a fresh skin fade and came out of the streets of São Paulo, he’d be top of that list.
But because he’s English and doesn’t do 8 stepovers before passing five yards, people act like one of the best strikers and passers in world football is boring.
Negative PR is an understatement.

Only England fans could turn Jude Bellingham into a problem.
He’s one of the few genuinely world class players in our squad, a Champions League winner and he’s already given us massive tournament moments.
Yet somehow we’ve ended up debating whether Morgan Rogers should start over him because of a few friendlies.
I love this country, but we’re hilarious sometimes.
Out of all the players in England’s 26-man squad, the one causing the most debate somehow isn’t Henderson or Dan Burn.
It’s Jude Bellingham.
A Champions League winner, a player almost every national team in the world would take, and one of the few players in this squad you can genuinely call world class when he’s on it.
We’ve completely lost the plot.
#England #Threelions #Worldcup26
No one’s saying start him because of one bicycle kick. You start him because he’s one of England’s best players.
He was poor against Slovakia, same as the rest of the team, but he was still the one who stepped up when we were seconds from going out.
Using that game to pretend he isn’t crucial for England is ridiculous.
@Stew_Wills@Tgarratt10 The Watkins goal was unreal, but Jude’s bicycle kick literally kept England in the tournament. Without that, there is no Watkins moment.
For me, that was the biggest moment of the Euros.
@InnocuousShark@ingelramdecoucy You’re not dunking on European fans, you’re just showing exactly why the rest of the world can’t stand you lot.
Endless arrogance with paper-thin egos. Some combo.
Honestly think this is Kane’s lock-in tournament.
He’s got so much on the line, he’s in the form of his life, and for England he’s still the player everyone looks for around the box. Most of our best chances get fed to him, and more often than not he buries them.
If England go deep, he’s the safest Golden Boot shout.
@footyhan Trust me, the majority of England fans love Jude. It’s just the dodgy media narratives and a certain section of our fanbase making it look worse than it is.
@Doritosandwich1@Ellis_ Bellingham has literally played deeper for Madrid than Rogers has for Villa this season, but apparently he suddenly can’t suit an England midfield.
At some point you lot have to actually watch the player instead of arguing with a version of him you made up.
I think Bellingham has done a good job under Tuchel so far.
He was much better than Rogers against New Zealand, showed real leadership and maturity as captain, and also proved he can work within the system team-wise, which was the main thing people were questioning.
People are forcing this debate way too much.
@sakaM10_detroit@USMNTOtaku Yeah, that famous 0-0 win for the US that your irrelevant footballing nation celebrated like they’d actually done something.
@JohnDBell1985 Maybe, but I’d still prefer Bellingham tbh. There’s signs both ways, Jude getting the 10 shirt says something, but Rogers has played more while he’s been injured. Costa Rica should give us a much better idea, but I still think it’s up for grabs.
If Bellingham is fit, he starts. Simple as that.
Morgan Rogers has done well, but people are getting way too carried away over a couple of friendlies against Serbia and Latvia.
Yesterday showed the quality gap between them. Put it this way, no opposition team is looking at England’s lineup and feeling more worried seeing Rogers instead of Bellingham.
@centregoals Makes complete sense with Walker retired from international football.
Rice is one of the first names on the team sheet and leads by example, he feels like the obvious choice for vice-captain.
Bellingham was captain, Rio was making his England debut, and he gave him his moment in front of the squad.
Most people watched that and saw a young leader doing exactly what you’d want from a captain. Then there are the weirdos who watch it purely looking for a reason to hate on Jude.
