@AbolitionRising I am fucking tired of seeing privileged people talking about growing up poor as if it’s a rationale for killing the baby. I’m good with abortion rights, but that you think being poor is so awful that a kid shouldn’t exist is not a good argument for them.
@DavidLynch68033@confrontfr Has it occurred to folks that those orchestrating these sorts of provocations would love nothing more than to carry a dead “student” around as a martyr while the mob with “pitchforks” grows? This is a potentially intended flashpoint for the conflict.
@wXtreme18 On my signal spread out and secure the perimeter behind us as well, so they don’t flank us, and under no circumstances can the shield be lowered, protect the shield generator at all costs.
@CriticalPlinker@OcrazioCornPop Institutional penalty is a form of coercion. He does cite Russia’s situation, which at the time of the lecture would have been a very relatable example. There are many forces that seek to coerce information in our modern mediums, far more insidiously than old fashioned approaches
@the_jefferymead ASML is the only company in the world that can produce the machines that make modern microchips 7nm and below using ultraviolet light and it took decades of research and development to achieve the process, which is mind bendingly precise and complex. They kinda deserve the money
@ReddRedd2525@LorrieAnn25@JustJenRX The KKK were democrats. Southern slave owners were democrats. The Republican Party started under Lincoln to end slavery. You’ve been fed a version of history that isn’t entirely accurate.
@BrassChunkyUS@wayofdiscipline Google it before you post. Sylvan Goldman really did create the shopping cart in the mid 1930’s to increase consumer spending.
@BallsRad@Tablesalt13 Honestly bro, agree with them or not, the convoy was no where near as extreme as the protests we’ve seen before and since. Not by a mile.
@cuntynerd@larry_mcwethy Socialism has no benefits. Just empty promises. Nothing is free, and the government is incompetent to plan the needs of an entire economy or people. All the social programs that help people are taxpayer funded, and exist because of the excess wealth capitalism creates.
@BruckMike@sowelleconomics It just makes good rhetoric. Ie greed is a bad motivation to organize society around if one so chooses. It’s a way to make any ambition look immoral, but excuses the thirst for power in the name of subjective justice. It’s an effective trick.
