🏈𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗: Jacob Rodriguez’s 18-tackle performance yesterday broke the Miami Dolphins’ rookie single-game record previously held by fellow Texas Tech great Zach Thomas, who recorded 16 tackles as a rookie in 1996. Thomas set that mark in just the second game of his NFL career, against Arizona on Sept. 8, 1996.
30 years later, another Red Raider linebacker rewrote the record book in Miami.

Darrion Williams has been granted a temporary injunction to play this season!
It is now essentially a done deal that we get to see D5 play for Texas Tech this year!
LETS GOOOOOOOO
Hammond is our guy, there’s gotta be no more slander like there was with Morton. Morton has been our GOAT and got the most hate, Tech fans gotta get behind our guy. He’s him.
After this game, I’m checking LinkedIn to see if there’s an opening at offensive coordinator position for Tech. One play, first play, a passing play for a great running QB. What are we doing here?
I really wanna understand the thought process. Why the world would you start Castellanos and not have a designated quarterback run play? I understand him starting the first play, that throws the defense off that’s just fine. Why isn’t a designated quarterback run?!
No way Oregon is this bad, they’re the Big 10! Has to mean Oklahoma St is that good right? But that means the Big 12 is underrated, no that doesn’t make sense either!? I need a Big 10/SEC person to explain this to me
🟢Jacob Rodriguez is the ONLY rookie in the NFL to wear his team's green dot, meaning he has the coach-to-player comms in his helmet, essentially making him the QB of the defense
From Here It's Possible 🔴⚫️
Cody Campbell didn’t mince words when talking about our matchup with Cincinnati for this upcoming season 👀
In the Texas Tech documentary, Campbell mentions how we haven’t forgotten about what Cincinnati did with Brendan Sorsby and the gambling saga.
He states, “When we’re up by 40 and still throwing the ball in the quarter… that’s where the retribution will come.”
This should be fun 👀🍿
Drama, swagger, stakes... everything's bigger in Texas 😤

NEW: Texas Tech's Joey McGuire tells @PeteNakos the Red Raiders are the hunters heading into the season🌵
"People are saying, ‘You’ve got a target on your back, man.’ I just keep going back to the Oregon game. We’re hunting because the last thing we have, the reminder we have, is us getting our butts kicked and getting shut out."

What’s to stop this from happening in a conference where you don’t need to win the champion to advance to the playoffs? Nothing, all this did was make a mockery of the power the NCAA holds and creates more bad blood between Tech and the Big 12.
No bullshit, the Big 12 and the Utah, Kansas, and Oklahoma AGs just saved college football from a very dark future that leads to the legitimacy of every major game being questioned. Cheers to them. They saved the sport by bullying Tech into submission.
Maybe I am too biased on the situation, but I don’t see how people are saying this is a win for college football. There is nothing put in place to prevent it from happening again. If Tech didn’t need to win the conference to advance, with the outcome still be the same?
