Bookshops & Bonedust hit #1 on the NYT and I don’t know what to do with that information, except to shout an enormous thank you to more people than could possibly be listed. Thank you! ❤️❤️😭
Have you actually looked up the pronunciation of these words, or do you just assume you know them?
The first word is Eidolon - not Idolon.

And for quasi - again, I direct you to Merriam.

Why do people never look this stuff up before making these statements?
I thought the cover was awfully clear -
Especially given the back jacket.
It’s hardly deceptive - were the couple on the cover not clearly into each other? That tail curled around the forearm?
Anyway, I’ve never once tried to obscure what the book is. Even though the romantic elements are very, very, VERY gentle and not the point of the book.
Today we're reviewing Brigands and Breadknives by @TravisBaldree , another heartwarming (if decidedly more action-packed) adventure, this time featuring a scene-stealing chaos goblin.

@TravisBaldree takes us on one hell of a journey in this lovely sequel!
TL;DR Review: Cozy yet adventurous, entertaining but also immensely heart-warming, with fascinating insights into the author—and ourselves!

TLDR, I have looked into this quite extensively, but everyone who complains to me about it has not, thus far.

@WhaleLandUtahni If this were The Three Musketeers, and it was written as 'marquis' - I WOULD pronounce it 'mar-kee' - because that's how those characters would have pronounced it, and it was originally French, referring to French titles.
This isn't though.
@WhaleLandUtahni *Ahem*
Consider that I do this as a job and actually research this stuff. Here are two reputable sources.
Did you look into it before telling me I was doing it incorrectly?
