@SamAMcKee@FAN590 Matthews golden goal at the Olympics against Canada in exchange for a Leafs third round playoff appearance. Would you take this scenario? Maybe a strong Olympics would bring the 60 goal guy back to Leafs Nation!
@SamAMcKee Isn’t this what we wanted? Big “tough” team that is really slow and not actually tough. Coach that talks accountability but only takes out his anger on Nick Robertson and Macielli. Strip the C from the only guy who cares but, “we’re not here to sell jerseys”.
@SamAMcKee As a guy from Saskatchewan who is a fan of the Riders and Leafs, the Riders are the exact blueprint of what we want from our Leafs. Blue collar work ethic, teammates that are undoubtedly unified as one, and and a connection with and respect for the fan base unlike no other team.
@TheJCAbbott It was Garry Peters’ arm/hand that was between Nield’s arms and hit the turf. Ball is secured under Nield’s arm. Zero controversy. You can see it clearly from both angles.
@therealballsy@BCLions Harris played most of the year with a depleted receiver line up. 15, 89, and 19 (1,000 yard guys) gone for half or all season and he still led the team to first place in the west with weeks to spare. Is that not MVP or MOP level of play? Bo also threw for 5K. It is close.
@therealballsy@BCLions Based on what? His passport? Rourke is great for Canada and Canadian football, don’t get me wrong, but saying “not particularly close” is a deflection. Harris, Bo-Levi, and Collaros have all been on the same level over the past number of years.
@therealballsy@BCLions The real bulletin board material is Rourke being glazed by the media all season long compared to Harris. Look at the body of work put together by Harris with a depleted receiving core (Nield Robustelli, Busby). Johnson and Meyers weren’t even 1000 yard receivers until 2025.
@jtbourne I think we need to consider whether we were sold a false bill of goods with Berube. All this talk of toughness, accountability, etc. Then he cries when Stolarz rightly calls out the team for letting him get shelled with shots and knocked over all night.
@LWillson_82 Hey Luke, do you think it would make sense to increase the five-yard “halo” to ten yards to increase excitement/unpredictability? Also, I do have an issue with the 35 second play clock, only because I think it may decrease the total amount of plays if the game clock keeps going.
@jakebeleafs What Derozan trade is there to make when the team walked Derozan straight to free agency? No first round picks or assets to trade for assets. 2025 free agency is a landmine of potential bad contracts. One win from the ECF to wildcard team is going to be hard to sell to the fans.
@FultonReed6 Matthews is playing pretty well, but I wouldn’t fault anybody for expecting more. He was a Selke nominee last year when he scored 69 goals. He’s definitely capable of dominating in both ends. He’s picking up the points but isn’t impacting the game offensively the way Nylander is.
@feedthefish79 The Stanley Cup Playoffs don’t even compare to sleeping on one of these in the maternity ward. Hopefully Mitch’s back holds up for the game tomorrow 😂
@DTSB_98 Your content is some of the best Leafs content out there. You do a great job of actually presenting the facts to back up your thoughts/opinion. You’re smart and knowledgeable about the game and the way your videos/arguments are structured show that. Screw the crude comments.
@JPrimoTML Benoit is 7 now I think. I think this is Liljegren’s last chance to play in the top 4.
Riley-Tanev
McCabe-Liljegren
OEL-Hakanpaa
Look for a trade at the deadline to upgrade top 4 if necessary.
@DTSB_98 Right shot defenseman. Ship him (and a second round draft pick) back to Toronto in exchange for future considerations lol. Use the second round pick for a trade deadline acquisition. I think it costs Detroit to move this contract and Keefe loves Holl on the penalty kill.
