@AuFrau4655@dedene I've been using gemini pro and gemini pro with extended reasoning for about a year, no agentic, API costs or fancy stuff. I have the plus suscription which is around 10€ a month. Works good enough for me.
@gnukeith I've been running a bare metal debian server for years, ubuntu for daily work and windows for everything else, mostly gaming.
I've tried a few times to move to linux but it's just not worth the struggle, even with proton had many nvidia related driver and compatibility issues.
@gnukeith For everyday use, yes, but if you have software compatibility issues, connectivity issues, or driver problems, better stick to windows if you are not an advanced user. Most people lack basic IT skills, they are not going to troubleshoot anything, no matter how open source it is.
