@bansky Accounting for inflation, video games are still getting cheaper, despite being magnitudes more complex and expensive. I’ve never actually seen an argument against prices that isn’t just “I don’t like it”. Which I get, but it’s not a moral outrage.
@Bungie Must be nice to be able to fire people when you mismanage a franchise and keep your job.
The way forward would be super easy if you knew how to put players first. I’d say good luck on your next project, but you need more than that.
@CGTester Were people not writing steps of bereavement before ai? Don’t get me wrong, I get the hate for it, but not in this case? I mean this in earnest.
@SuperTechBro@Dexerto I think you’re trying hard to find a consumer that the purchase makes sense for. That segment is small, which is fine, but don’t act like it’s some long term genius plan. Memory costs rose after the project started and they had to compromise on the value prop. Simple as that.
@Dexerto This baffles me, it’s admitting they had no clear value proposition.
Why would they not eat the loss to try to siphon off console gamers? It’s clearly not a system for pc gamers, prebuilts are cheaper. I get that memory prices spiked, but this isn’t the solution.
@AnthropicAI are you guys doing something about opus 4.8 being absolutely useless on the chat side? I have max, outside of Claude code, this is unusable. Claude refuses to look things up and prefers to tell me why my query is wrong. It’s baffling.
@MayonaiseT@AUTOMATON_ENG Nobody knew. It was non sexual and was just the character taking a shower and reflecting. Steam rejected it for being too sexual, so they replaced it with a black screen. Steam again rejected it for being too sexual despite having literally zero sexual content.
@endless_real The crazy thing is the show doesn’t put it in this order. The Tony/chris scene is revealed later. The viewer is presented with the hospital story as truth, and just like Adriana, they realize it’s all a lie.
@Leigha_Sapienti People need to understand what summary judgment means. All it means is that “if what you say is true, would it be a matter of the courts.” It’s not a high bar. They don’t actually determine the facts at this stage.
@judejon_@litcapital Hi, I think I can clear this up. You’re a prude.
You need to distinguish between “this is an uncomfortable conversation” and “this is harmful to a child” protesting against child porn doesn’t harm children. Child porn harms children.
@reallxp@miike_hrk If you can speak Japanese you can generally get in. I’ve never been hard turned away from a business with these signs. I still don’t like the idea, but at least it’s not direct discrimination.
