Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle on being impressed with Kelly Oubre Jr. during training camp:
"He's had a large impact in practice on both ends. He shot the ball really well. Defensively, he's sticky, he's tough, he's difficult to screen and he's an edgy competitor. He's exactly what we need."

Apparently @Rivian started blocking the extremely light fetch I did on inventory for my Lease and Lease vs Buy tools.
So for now at least, the URL paste feature is gone. Sorry folks, but until Rivian wants to actually provide a real API for this they will add friction.

On a Sunday night in March 2009, the team rescuing GM and Chrysler waited outside the Oval Office watching Tiger Woods.
Their plan included bankruptcy, with no precedent for a company that sells cars.
Both were out by July in 42 and 39 days.
The man in charge was Steven Rattner, a Wall Street investor who had mostly done media and telecom deals. In January 2009 he gathered 14 Wall Street volunteers. Washington had no Department of the Auto, he says, and nobody who knew anything about cars.
His team split four to four on saving Chrysler, and he broke the tie.
The 26 minute recording attached to this post is Rattner at Google, telling it himself. It opens with that Sunday night: Michigan's lawmakers on speakerphone, one calling bankruptcy a negotiating tactic, and the president cutting in to say it is a real possibility.
Watch 5:40, when Michigan's governor answers in a whisper.
At 17:32 he explains why a bankrupt carmaker is nothing like a bankrupt airline. A flier's relationship ends at the gate. A car buyer's lasts about seven years. His team was scared to death buyers would walk, and no government money can support a company that lost its customers.
So the bankruptcy had to end before the customers left.
A normal bankruptcy runs a year or more. Chrysler's took 42 days, about a ninth of that.
The sticker price is the shortest part of the deal. A car is a seven year contract with a company you never read: the warranty, the parts and the trade in value all assume the maker is still there.
You compare cars on payment and mileage, and the seven years never make the spreadsheet.
You do it backwards. He asked whether the company could make it, then what to spend.
Before your next car, ask who honors the warranty if the brand files. It takes ten seconds and is rarely on the checklist.
Jaylen Brown on all the hoopla surrounding the Sixers to open up training camp: “All the vibes are super important … There’s a lot of external, I wouldn’t say pressure, but I would say ‘activity.’ People are excited, but we’re all normal human beings … having fun [is key]”
I met a bunch of women parking up yesterday.
They were commenting on some EV chargers saying the it's too difficult to consider an EV.
As i walked pat i chipped in and we ended up charging.

He believes the camaraderie he built with Cooper Flagg this summer will be part of the Mavericks’ success.
