Just turn it into the police. You don’t want to be in a spot where the original turns it in as “stolen,” as opposed to just admitting he lost it because he’s a moron. You have a run in with the police for whatever reason and now you have a “stolen” gun in your pocket. Even if you end up being in the clear, you could end up spending the night or longer in jail. No Glock is worth the hassle.
