@weatherwilly I always say the same exact thing. Imagine it being 20-25 degrees colder than normal - consistently for days & weeks - in Nov & Dec. It hardly ever happens. Even getting it to happen in Jan & Feb is difficult (except for this rare winter). But warmer temps? Yes, all of the time!

@weatherwilly Had light flurries in the Poconos yesterday. Likely the last snow for at least 9 months. Another lackluster winter for the NE aside from very cold air. We are definitely stuck in some type of pattern that's preventing big storms from happening. RIP 2025/25 snow season 😢

@weatherwilly This season was almost all southern hits. NYC metro is kryptonite for snow! Storms either produce west of us, south of us, north of us, or they go out to sea. Like you, I don't expect any surprises in March. 14 storms in Central Park & like 12" for season 🤣 Trend is your friend

@weatherwilly I'm a DIEHARD winter lover. One who despises heat & humidity. But I have to admit, this season was RIDICULOUSLY frigid almost non-stop since the end of December. You'll rarely hear me say this...however, bring on spring! Especially since NYC metro is still in a snow donut hole 🤬

@weatherwilly It's almost unreal. Longest cold stretch in years in the Northeast, great blocking in place...and it's still like pulling teeth to get sizable snow in NYC metro. Can you imagine if we waste this rare pattern with zilch? Still plenty of winter to go, but geez 😫

@weatherwilly As much as I'd like to be angry about missing out, I'm happy for my snow peeps in southern NJ. They usually get shafted on storms, so they deserve this. Nice sized system that should deliver a 6-8 or 8-10 in places like A.C., Cape May, etc.
