On the flip side Canada has less qualifiers for defam and is probably an easier case to win. Most lawyers won't take a case unless they're confident they'll win

They're going to say his online threats were part of a "persona". They will argue against premed based on no one was singled out. This is why discovery is important

@SkyPointSteve @AmiriKing I doubt what amiri is saying is true, but if IT is you can regain rights to self defense if you're walking away and the other party re-engages you per Tenn. Code Ann. § 39-11-611(e)(2)(A)-(B). People need to chill out and wait for discovery nonetheless.

@luisjgomez @DuffmanLuke Ask for specific statues/penal codes regarding self defense in the given state. Read the statues/penal codes. Follow up with if there's any other statutes or codes that limit self defense. Then use those as a base for asking questions for a scenario based on what happened.

However, limited by Tennessee Code § 39-11-614 which covers provocation (did the one claiming self defense provoke the altercation, however, self defense can be regained if "defender" tried to retreat)
