The District Collector of Bapatla visited Ramapuram hatchery and reseed hatchlings to sea, in the presence of The District Forest Officer, Bapatla, and the TREE Foundation team.
Our triumph over stopping the trawler is the celebration of our being able to have moments like this - a little hatchling setting out to sea, protected by our STPF members from the moment it was laid in a deep nest to this moment, when it is ready to seek out its own life at sea.
On Feb 22, 2014, more than 800 turtles washed ashore dead. Since then, we have been conducting awareness programmes and workshops and working with the government across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to reduce mortality of turtles. We commemorate the tragedy every year.

A School Education and Conservation Awareness Program on the Indian Giant Squirrel was held on 30 January 2026 at Sri Gopinath Bidyapeeth Motabadi, Baguda, Odisha, with 71 participants, including School staff, and students.
