@igamoon You could also probably cut down the first step by just mixing a bit of basilicanum grey into space wolves grey. Whatever works best in the end though, right?

@igamoon The only problem I see is the paints it picked. Rather than frostheart try dry brushing Fenrisian Grey. Frostheart is a very saturated green-blue. Its also a very liquid and translucent paint that wouldnt make a strong highlight on the edges.

@kirenzikov @DYorgy The easiest way to push contrast is to start from white and layer it with a thin fluo paint. If you dont have a fluo paint try layering it brighter and brighter by mixing yellow for a warmer look, or white for a cooler pink look.

@kirenzikov @DYorgy First, the miniature really does look great. You are actually rendering the radiation of light fine. What you're missing is making the source of the light much brighter in contrast to the surroundings. In black and white you can see how the actual light source blends in too much.

@EdMnemonic @ADHDForReal I used to get this so bad. It made me dizzy thinking about how much was above me that I'd have to keep my eyes down and focus on the ground. Thankfully, it's mostly gone away as I've gotten older.
