In early 2020 our team installed 148 #chainsawhollows in #urbanparks throughout the City of Whitehorse.

Thanks to the help of awesome volunteers, we could monitor the hollows and find high occupancy rates (around 79%) with several species.

Thanks to a collaboration between Parks Victoria, Orbost Secondary College, and Treetec, we could install and monitor artifical nest hollows in areas impacted by the summer bushfires in 2019/2020. After 2 years we could find nests of birds and mammals!
