The 2026 BAFTA TV and Craft Award nominations feature The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball as a notable contender. Continuing the legacy of the highly acclaimed The Amazing World of Gumball, this new series by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe and Cartoon Network has been recognised in two key areas:

Children's Scripted (BAFTA TV Awards): The show is nominated in the primary Children's scripted category, standing alongside other programmes such as Crongton, Horrible Science, and Shaun the Sheep.

Production Team (BAFTA Craft Awards): The production team behind the series has earned a BAFTA Craft nomination. This nods to the complex, eclectic mix of media styles the creators utilise—blending 2D and 3D animation, CGI, puppetry, photorealism, and live-action—to bring the wildly imaginative and surreal town of Elmore to life.

The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball has earned a nomination at the 2026 Banff World Media Festival's Rockie Awards.

Produced by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, the programme is nominated in the highly competitive "Animation Children" category. It stands out as the sole animated Warner Bros. Discovery production to receive a nod at this year's festival, distinguishing itself among a global field of 151 nominees from 21 different countries.

The Rockie Awards International Program Competition is set to take place on Tuesday, 16 June 2026, and will be hosted by Allana Harkin.
