In & out of jail 14 years ago. Today: A solo dad who built a stable life. Teaching men how to survive the trenches, & play the long game. Join the tribe!
14 years ago, I was frequently in a jail cell. My relationship shattered, childcare was unaffordable & I was terrified of losing my son.
Today, my son is grown, his mom & I are on great terms, and life is stable.
Here is my blueprint from chaos to peaceful solo fatherhood. 👇
@SadDeath666@akkatsukki_@shadowesra I don't pretend to know what that man is thinking. I can only observe the behaviors he is displaying.
Also, it is not the pervert who calls out perverted behavior. It is the pervert who desperately defends said behavior.
I've had my son since he was only 1. I never realized how quickly he would grow.
Now I find myself getting all emotional at the thought of him moving out soon.
Are there any other parents currently experiencing this phase?
Fathers with daughters have to be careful in a different way. I watched a video of a dad restraining his daughter by pinning her to the ground. While doing so he positioned his crotch on her butt.
That may have been unintentional, but regardless perception is often damning.
I am a strict parent. Though I give my son space to decide what he likes, I heavily monitor him because I am aware of the dangers.
At the same time, as parents we must carefully choose our means of discipline. If we go too far, we risk our children's mental stability.
@BoyCroppy@shadowesra Is that a question, or a statement? X seems to be full of people making strange decisions. His was to pin his daughter down with his crotch on her butt. I strongly disagree with that decision.
I'm not discrediting women and children here. I'm just simply saying that Men care just as much, sometimes more than the women do.
But what can we do when the system is rigged against us? I'm blessed to have my son. If I went along with the system, I wouldn't have him.
It's really incredible how men can be taxed so heavily, forced into wars and there be a Maxim of law which states that commerce favors the women and children.
Men are forced to participate and then thrown away unless they have a good understanding of the law, and/or money.
I want to express gratitude that my life is currently where I prayed for it to be during my worst times. I will continue striving to reach higher goals, however I will never forget my lowest points.

UNDERSTANDING IS THE KEY!
I have made plenty of errors on my journey. But I can pat myself on the back for becoming educated after realizing I was lacking.
And the only way to see where I was lacking was SELF REFLECTION.
No more blame games. Time to look inward.
When you’re in the trenches, it’s easy to get angry that nobody is volunteering to help you. I used to think that way too.
But waiting for a savior is a trap. Job loss, high childcare costs, and homelessness will bring CPS right back to your door.
Nobody is coming. Build your own fortress. ✊
