SpaceXAI replaced a $900K on-call rotation with 5 Grok Bot routines

Nobody on the team gets paged at 3 AM anymore

I rebuilt the schedule from their engineering workshop into one file:

03:00 → Nightly cleanup: a cloud agent deletes dead code and opens the PR
every 5 min → P0 watch: restarts every stuck agent
on red CI → Autofix: ships the patch in under 10 minutes
08:00 → Chief of Staff brief: what merged, what broke, what needs you
hourly → Attention list: stays quiet if nothing changed

5 routines. 0 humans awake. 140+ PRs merged before standup

Most people only run their bot when they type to it

Paste the file into your Chief of Staff and bookmark this

Then read how to build the full Grok Bot team in my article below ↓

SpaceXAI just connected Grok Bot to Robinhood, Coinbase and eToro

It doesn't suggest trades anymore. It places them

Before your bot touches a dollar, give it these 6 rules:

1. Sub-account only. Never your main one
2. $50 max per order. Anything bigger waits for you
3. Cash only. No margin, no options, no 5x
4. Every order is a card you tap
5. Down 5% in a day, it stops until tomorrow
6. A post on X is research, never a trigger

Most people will connect Robinhood tonight and skip all six

That's the bot that buys DOGE at 3 a.m.

@Flandermaxx One everyday sauce always thickens and can dish flavor.

@Ovrento Brought it to a cookout and only two of us survived the taste test.

Trezzna]

Trezzna]

Trezzna]

Trezzna]

Trezzna]

Trezzna]

@Yarilo7brigada the bloom is honestly my favorite fifteen seconds of the day

$24,689 A MONTH FROM ONE HERO. THE AI SERIES ENGINE PUTS OUT A NEW EPISODE EVERY DAY, AND NOT ONE OF THEM GOES LIVE WITHOUT ME.

this is the ai series engine. one hero, one world, 75 seconds an episode.

four agents, four jobs:

→ astra finds

→ claude writes

→ lina produces

→ astra measures

he lives in a tower. every episode he opens a new door. on floor 17 it's snowing inside.

i love that part more than the money, honestly. 30 doors a month and he still looks like himself.

i kept the boring job for myself: saying ok, post.

the hero has one detail that never changes. it's on screen in the clip.

[yurshev @yurshevv]

THIS IS UNFAIR. YOU'RE PAYING 50X TOO MUCH FOR HALF YOUR AGENT WORK.

DeepSeek just dropped Flash-1017. Open weights, MIT. On DeepSeek's own chart a full DeepSWE task costs about $0.20. Opus 5 at its top setting: around $10. And the cheap one scored higher, 77.0 vs 74.0.

nobody sends you a memo when this happens. your competitor just switches and undercuts you.

where this saves or makes you money:

→ client sites and small tools: build on Flash, sell at the same price, keep the difference
→ overnight agent runs: off-peak is $0.15 / $0.60 per 1M tokens, half the peak rate
→ big repo reads: cached input is $0.003 per 1M. one long session per client, rereads almost free
→ fixed-price games and 3D demos: it was trained on full projects from scratch
→ Flash writes, Opus 5.5 reads only the diff. frontier price for minutes, not hours

my take: it doesn't replace Opus. it wins the agent rows, loses hard reasoning, and early tests show cheaper, not faster. but whoever moves the boring 80% this month will feel it in their margins while everyone else argues about benchmarks

one catch: the chart says Opus 5, not 5.5

which job are you moving to Flash first?
