Just wrapped up testimony in South Dakota against the App Store Accountability Act - HB 1275.

The committee voted 5-4 to kill the bill in committee. Not fully dead until sine die

These policy do not “empower parents” they force a government mandate on ALL citizens to provide age verification to download ANY app. These tools are already available to parents with flexibility for their family situation. The bill also does nothing to “protect kids” - that’s the sales pitch to sell Digital ID.
