Covering the Spurs live from the Frost Bank Center at 8:30 PM CST! The Spurs (6-8) have their work cut out for them tonight, as they're shorthanded against an amazing Thunder (11-3) team. Without Victor Wembanyama and Devin Vassell, we'll see if the Spurs can pull off an upset.
@Trinitonian published our second to last issue of the semester today!
In the sports section, we covered the @Trinity_U soccer SCAC championship wins. I also wrote an article about the women's basketball home opener and a column about Riley Gaines' recent event at Trinity.
Wembanyama on the status of Coach Popovich: "We don't hear a lot from Pop. They keep us informed, as much as we're allowed to know. I'm not worried about him, I know he's gonna come back soon. But we're not talking to him directly that much."
Spurs win 118-105, the game never got out of hand for the TrailBlazers but the Spurs almost never reliquished their lead. The Spurs' young talent off the bench paid dividends tonight. Stephon Castle and Zach Collins stepped up in big ways too.
Reporting live for the @Trinitonian from the Frost Bank Center, Spurs vs. TrailBlazers will be tipping off soon! I'll be posting live updates/insights in this thread.
Spurs have not used their coach's challenge despite a few questionable calls tonight. Possibly the Spurs do not want the pace of this game to slow down, it seems like the Spurs have been effective tonight when they've controlled the pace.

The subtly brilliant play of Julian Champagnie has been a major part of the Spurs' game this season so far. Seen in full effect as he secures a steal leading to an easy layup for Malaki Branham.

Stephon Castle has been making plays that don't show up on highlights to contribute to the Spurs' success tonight. Earlier, after jumping on an Anthony Edwards pump fake, he quickly regained composure and set his feet to prevent a three. His dribbling has also been top class.
Reporting live for the @Trinitonian from the Spurs vs. Timberwolves game tonight, first quarter is starting to wind down. Timberwolves seem to be slowing the pace down, they may be trying to turn this game into a war of attrition. Wemby checking in.
