@NadiJud @PS_Support_US Yep, happened recently & online support was zero help. Verification codes from every other source still come in... Can't talk to someone on the phone either. You can try using edge browser to recover the account via the passkey option & then select a different security method.

@jimbobsos A separate Unreal engine 5.5 update & any additional content, bug fixes, etc. along the way would need developing for ASE. Would also mean additional servers for ASE (that WC doesn't host themselves). Those things cost. How long had it been since players spent money on ASE...

@jimbobsos ASE ran its course, all previous maps/content have been released. Players were given the opportunity to continue playing on unofficial servers w/their progress (or could keep the data saved for future use) & or start new on ASA.

@jimbobsos It's no different from, OS's, PS1 to 5, Xbox to Series X, NES to Switch 2. At some point older iterations of things are no longer supported.

@realgalaxyalpha @AskPlayStation Some people play games where if you aren't online to defend, others can destroy and take your stuff that you spent weeks, months, a year or more obtaining so yeah, 24 hours of not being able to play then logging on and all that time and effort simply gone doesn't feel good...
