Lucy was designated a dangerous dog after a jogger reached inside her cone after surgery and nipped the jogger. She was in pain and scared. Conditions dictated she follow the dangerous dog laws; on two leashes, muzzled - even on her own property. One day she had one leash slip off while on her own property and behind her own fence, and a vindictive neighbour saw it and reported it to the authorities. Lucy was taken from the family and put in a shelter and her owner was slapped with federal charges for the leash slip.
It’s an unjust targeting of a family and dog that has done nothing wrong.
@John92455801@JohnWKowal1@Pat72852006 You laugh because you believe I’m broke and then you call me a virtue signaller when you find out I’m not. Pick a lane sweetheart and go take your meds. You’re clearly the punchline to your own joke.
Oh honey, I’m not broke; my home in Langley BC is paid for, the cabin I own at Logan Lake BC is paid for and I’m currently sitting on the deck of my condo on Flamingos beach in Puerto Vallarta while you sit in your mamas basement arguing with people on the internet.
I’ll think of you and laugh as I sip a margarita tonite as the sun sets. 😘
@johnnymasters@SaveLucyTheDog The owner of Lucy is already facing federal charges surrounding this case. Go back to your fantasy world. The real world is ugly and laws need to be changed. That’s the bottom line.
@johnnymasters@SaveLucyTheDog Why don’t you stop making stupid comments? The dog is being held under unfair animal laws. The family has zero access to her.
I'm back in court today for a hearing on the Ridglan rescue. The state has not just charged us with 4 felonies but engaged in a series of efforts to undermine our most basic constitutional rights. Today, we are fighting in court to ensure that these rights—including the right to present a defense at all—are preserved.
And I am fine with this. Because the sacrifice is the point. The fact that I and my co-defendants are willing to take on the full power of the state, knowing they would use every underhanded tool in their toolkit (including barring us from First Amendment activity), should give the world confidence that we mean what we say:
We MUST rescue the animals, no matter what it takes.
Even if that means having our constitutional rights threatened. Even if that means being charged with serious crimes. Even if that means being imprisoned.
This is a fight worth having because this dog deserved to be safe.
I'll see you in court today.
12-year-old Xavier Taylor from Maple Shade, NJ, remains in extremely critical condition on a ventilator after a heartbreaking freak accident on May 26. ⚾💔
While warming up before a youth baseball game at Fellowship Columbia Bank Field, Xavier — a passionate pitcher/shortstop who lives for the game — was walking back to the dugout when an errant throw from a teammate struck him in the neck. He collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. His dad (a retired firefighter) rushed to him, and Xavier was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital.
His father, Greg Taylor, has stressed it was a complete **freak accident with no one to blame**. Xavier, known for writing Bible verses on his hats and playing on multiple teams, is fighting hard. The family is holding onto faith and miracles.
The community has rallied with prayer vigils, “Bats Out for X,” #6 shirts, and massive support. Videos of the vigils, father’s emotional updates, and local news coverage are circulating widely on TikTok — search #XavierStrong for raw community moments.
**A prayer shared for Xavier & his family:**
“Heavenly Father, we lift up Xavier Taylor to You. You know every detail of his life. Before he needed a miracle, he followed You, prayed to You, and wore Your Scriptures. Surround his family with peace. Lord, we ask for a miracle. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” 🙏
Prayers up for full recovery, strength for the Taylors, and the whole Maple Shade baseball family. He will play again.
