@TripleKitKats I've posted this before but Ceroba is a good person, too. Yeah, her actions were absolutely terrible, but they all came from an understandable position, especially considering her flaws as a person

I sort of agree, with the caveat that I think this distinction is precisely why I love Ceroba’s character and the True Pacifist ending so much. Forgiving her when it’s undeserved is the point; UTY pushes Undertale’s idea of mercy to the limit, it’s uncomfortable. And I love that.

When Clover hugged Ceroba despite everything she’d done, I bawled my eyes out more than I ever have before or since. I felt seen and heard for the first time, maybe ever. I still cherish UTY so much because of that. That is all.

I never had the strength to forgive this person, I still don’t. I try to find solace in stories, but characters written like them are often labeled as “poorly written” because their actions are erratic and make little logical sense. 2/3
