@HedgingNapoleon@GavinElwes@shOoObz@HarmeetKDhillon@DOJCivil You didn't really address my point. If the student had no intention in learning, why are they taking the class? It's a simple question. Why were they even there?
My comment wasn't even about you. It was about the student and the lawyer that set the whole thing up.
@shubes24@2ndATexan@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park I blocked him and not you because his argument became "you're just a stupid liberal".
That's not arguing in good faith and I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it.
@shubes24@2ndATexan@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park We do heavily regulate cars. You have to pass a safety test. You have to have a proper license. You can lose that license if you're responsible.
Which should also apply to getting any gun.
@shubes24@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park Fun fact: the AR-style rifle is generally considered most lethal in its terminal effects- capable of inflicting a fatal wound up to the 500 - 600 yard mark.
The average apx size of a school is 150k Sq ft. Or about 400 feet across.
Just to help illustrate the point.
@shubes24@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park Oh. Well then sure.
Let's bring back the assault weapons ban. The last time we had one, mass shooting fatalities were 70% less likely. And the number of gun massacre deaths fell by 43%.
@2ndATexan@shubes24@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park Once again, we were specifically taking about mass shootings and school shoots. And there was absolutely a reduction in mass shootings during the assault weapons ban.
Typical gun nut chode.
@2ndATexan@shubes24@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park Wow, you just saw yourself out of an argument you weren't even part of to begin with.
The issue WAS the prevalence of gun violence and mass shootings and how the prevalence of assault weapons contributes to those statistics.
Stay on topic.
@2ndATexan@shubes24@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park You didn't really address my point. The US is dramatically worse in terms of gun violence compared to other countries.
And the only reason Mexico is worse than the US is because they actually buy the guns here, in the US. Because they're so easy to get.
@shubes24@CarrambaJ12651@Susan16Park Hey friend. Go ahead and Google the reduction in mass shootings during the assault weapons ban during 1994 - 2004.
