This week, we had the pleasure to attend the 25th International Symposium on Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis in Pisa🇮🇹. Our TCCB group was wel represented and delivered 1 keynote (Stef Ghysels👍), 8 orals and posters (thanks to Elisa, Tatwadhika, Arthur, Alessandra, Yingyuan👍).

Our students have won 2nd place in the BISC-E finals! With their groundbreaking "Charbuild" concept, they demonstrated how biochar from sludge can be incorporated into cement, resulting in a more sustainable and stronger product!

Had a great pyrolysis conference in Beijing. Meeting up with top experts, the UGent China platform, great discussions after my oral and, won the poster prize! There was some room to visit great wall.
Proud on my team, winning the Belgian bisc-e competition, integrating biochar production from spent coffee grounds with sustainable concrete manufacturing. European competition, here we come!
