@retiaa2 You are right that The lgbtq community has do many rights in thailand which we are fighting for in my country
And yes as said it is wrong to categorize a country based on prostitution tourism and that should be criticized but the discussion was not about that

What makes you think that huhh ?
I mostly use X for my Fandoms so I rarely use it for anything else

@mishmis53464591 Why is the Asian eye gesture offensive?
Isn't that how east Asians mono eyelids are? Why do east Asians have inferiority complex?
Why is the N word offensive? Blacks have been called N several times?
@HamithaThasIima@Enxy_03 Does bollywood have problems when it comes to stereotype , or misrepresent other indian cultures ?? Yes
South, bengali,Marathi ,Punjabi almost every cultures have been misrepresented
But how does that justify foreign actors mocking indian cultures using stereotypical gestures?
@gemisayang Yeah yeah Indians are sensitive , look how massive boycott, brutal canceling, threats are going on .
We should be like chinese or Koreans who silently let everything related to them move
@loveufourth 1st one- An actress is doing something random
2nd- A skit performed based on a movie , and the actors of the film are present there .
3rd- 80s or 90s film , racist but the actress is already dead
4th- A nepo kid who has been brutally trolled for her mediocre performance
Culture respects culture. And respect should go both ways.
I’m Filipino, and honestly, if someone from another country took something deeply meaningful from my culture, used it without understanding its significance, or treated it casually, I would feel sad—and yes, I would be mad too.
Because culture is not just a costume, a dance move, music, or something that looks good on stage. There is history, identity, tradition, and emotion behind it. For many people, these cultural practices are connected to their ancestors, beliefs, and heritage.
That is why I can understand why people are hurt when their culture is being represented without proper knowledge or respect.
@GMMTV, this is exactly why your artists need proper cultural education and guidance. If you're going to introduce elements of another culture into your performances, teach them first. Explain the history. Explain the meaning. Explain what is appropriate and what isn't.
Desi dance traditions deserve that same level of respect. Some forms carry deep cultural and sacred significance, and they should not be treated as just another performance trend.
This isn't about attacking an artist. It's about accountability and education.
Cultural exchange can be beautiful when it is done with genuine appreciation. But appreciation requires understanding.
Before you perform someone else's culture, take the time to learn it.
Before you borrow from someone's heritage, understand what it means to them.
And before asking people not to be offended, ask yourself if you have shown them enough respect.
I would want other people to respect Filipino culture. So I will also stand up when I see another culture asking for the same respect.
Respect my culture. I'll respect yours.
Culture respects culture. 🌏
