@Mindofown Hello, Ian! I'm currently still dealing w/ cervical cancer & have backed away completely from "public life" due to no energy for that. The past 3 years of family issues & death (sūïcīde) have been a lot to handle. Hoping to be back in 2025.

I am still in shock & mourning over the end of #Finale, the notation software I've used for 22 years. Today is the 19th anniversary of #HurricaneKatrina. And my cancer doc wants me to get new CT scans & a blood transfusion. Holy cow. What a week this has been.

I received an email re: a composer residency I had a good chance of getting (already got 1 in Ireland), only to read it was postponed because of the $30 million cut to arts funding in Florida. The arts ARE business. Artists create an ECONOMY that boosts other businesses.

Terms are often misused in the growing debacle -- I mean, debate -- of "gender politics". "Sex" is between your legs. "Gender" is between your ears.

@sarrowsmith42 @GuntherEagleman @jk_rowling Yes, it is, actually. There is the male sex & the female sex. Intersex is sometimes included in the number of "sexes" even though Intersex people only account for 1% to less than 2% of the population. So, that's a maxium of 3 sexes. 1/2
