THE LIE WRITERS WERE TOLD
You can lack money all your days in the Web3 space, but you see advice? .... you'll never lack advice 😂
If you’ve been on CT long enough, then you must have seen one of these advice:
• “post every day.”
• “use a strong/catchy hook.”
• “be relatable and engage.”
The truth is, almost none of this helps writers build leverage.
I'll tell you why, before you crucify me
-----
Some of the writing advice on CT doesn’t fail because it’s wrong, far from that.
It fails because it teaches writers to prioritise visibility instead of leverage.
Some of those advice focuses on output, instead of outcomes.
It'll teach you how to post more often, but not how to be relevant.
That's the line of difference.
Posting daily can give you impressions, yes.
But impressions at the end of the day are shallow metrics.
You can be widely seen on CT and still get ignored.
Because being seen isn’t the same as being remembered.
And being remembered isn’t the same as being trusted.
Another trap in form of an advice is: “Write like yourself .” 😂
It sounds good, honestly.
But the problem is most people here don’t know even who they are online yet.
At the end of the day, they end up sounding like:
"Everyone else or worse, nobody"
The truth is that:
Audiences don’t follow writers.
They follow the ones that sees the world.
I know virality builds attention.
And consistency builds trust.
And CT optimizes you for the first.
But leverage comes from the second.
Many writers I know stay underpaid in this space because they’re easy to replace.
They use the same hook,
same format,
same recycled takes,
With nothing at stake.
Writers don’t get underpaid because they’re bad. No.
They get underpaid because nothing about their writing is scarce.
It can be gotten from anywhere
The real upgrade here isn’t writing better tweets.
It’s deciding:
🔸What you repeat
🔸What you ignore
🔸What you refuse to comment on
Growth advice avoids friction.
But signal is only formed from friction.
Web3 doesn’t need more writers.
It needs more thinkers who can write.
Once you can see that,
you'll stop asking “How do I grow?”
and start asking:
“What do I own?”
