(2/2) Yet persistent #challenges remain: partial implementation of National Action Plans, inadequate and ill-adapted financing, and fragmented coordination across actors. To move forward, we must shift decisively from commitment to action by anchoring our plans in dedicated budgets, measurable indicators, and real accountability mechanisms.

This means securing direct funding for #grassroots women's organizations, broadening our coalition to include men, youth, and intergenerational transmission of knowledge, and establishing regular regional coordination platforms to break out of isolated initiatives. Our recommendations will now feed into the African Union's continental study on the Women, Peace and Security agenda. The time has come to move from #diagnosis to #transformative action.

📌Yaounde, 🇨🇲, Regional Consultation on the Women, Peace and Security agenda in Central Africa

Over two days, we took stock of 25 years of #UNSCR1325 implementation and confirmed that while strong normative frameworks are in place, women's participation remains far too often consultative rather than decision-making.

Our discussions identified several structural #GoodPractices that are already delivering results, including institutional anchoring with gender quotas, strategic advocacy built on civil society–State synergies, digital and media mobilization to counter hate speech, holistic approaches that embrace positive masculinity, disability inclusion, and the socio-economic reintegration of GBV survivors, as well as proximity mechanisms such as community early warning systems and electoral mentorship. A memorable moment came when one excited participant shared, “I want to learn more about recent developments in IT!” After conducting research as we taught, he was amazed by the advancements in technology today and declared he wants to become an IT expert soon! This inspiring statement filled our RAGJ IT experts with immense pride, highlighting the camp's positive influence on these young innovators. 🌈

Our talented little chefs embraced their creativity under the guidance of our amazing treats experts, diving into the delicious world of baking and confectionery. 🍰🍬 From crafting scrumptious cakes 🎂 to whipping up delightful sweets 🍭, making golden caramel 🍯, flipping fluffy pancakes 🥞, and even mastering the art of Pufpuf donuts 🍩—the kids truly shined!

One of the standout moments was the lively Tug of Peace, where teams showcased their strength and unity. It was a fantastic reminder that when we come together, we can achieve amazing things! The day was brimming with fun, friendship, and a shared commitment to improving humanitarian assistance.
