For transparency, what I am doing in life is primarily to honor my grandmother, to always trust myself, to never be afraid to fail ever again, to ignore family, friends, and anyone else who rejects my vision, to work hard and always produce action in some capacity, and to incorporate all of this into my identity.
In the end, my goal in life is to give back and help others, as it has always been since I was in kindergarten.
@DStrachman I find east coast folks = better overall, less superficial, and more honest (jarring for some). Weather sucks though. California is amazing, and unfortunately, expensive. From what I gather, culture has a lot of superficial folks. Do you experience any of this yourself?
@DStrachman People want to do things. Doing the hard work, and improving your discipline (isn't discipline technically an emotion?) is beyond difficult. Dunning kruger hits hard and the rest who are left will probably signal and gain dopamine from said signal. And few will do the actual work
The way employers and employees talk about work gives off this impression that employer-employee relationships have become blatantly adversarial.
Shows up in how everyone talks, and even in evaluating performance. Both sides act like the other side is taking advantage.
I fully support this idea; however, the methods they utilize to detect the AI content could give rise to creators who get falsely flagged for AI content, and that is something that I am not a fan of. Otherwise, this isn't a bad thing.
@DThompsonDev If he is able to complete all the work and is a 10x engineer while also working at jobs that are not direct competitors, then I PERSONALLY don't see a problem and I understand why people are upset. If they are competitors, then no. I do not know the full context of mr. Parekh.
@RoxanaCodes Thank you for the kind words! can't wait to see what has been happening in your world and everyone else's world. Keep inspiring as much as you can. Love the work and effort you put forth with everything, family included. Cheers <3
@RoxanaCodes Finally under 200 pounds, last i checked it was 197.6 about a week ago. down from 345 about 12 months ago now. truthfully, i took a long break from X and from the internet. Decided to clear my head and get some things sorted in real life. Will be making a small comeback of course
@cherthedev Congratulations on getting away from that person. Sucks you had to deal with that. Hope things improve for your future! Thanks for sharing, it's not easy to share this stuff as well, so thank you.
@tdesseyn Is that getting access to someone or just being potentially seen? And how does this factor into newsletters of varying sizes and also those that are new newsletters vs older ones?
