What a busy day! Today was also the First Lego League National final! Holly Hub Lego team again did a fantastic job representing Troon & the county! Another fantastic presentation and robot game, super teamwork everyone well done!

Well done Holly Class super resilience and perseverance shown in today's Race For Life, everyone beat their lap PB! Medals to follow on Monday!

Today we enjoyed a virtual author visit from @AkaPaulHoward about his new book Aldrin Adams and the Cheese Nightmares which sounds very funny, the class were also impressed with which sports stars he had met as a sports writer! The cheese quiz at the end was very competitive!

Recently Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a visit from Nexus and experienced a fantastic Healthy Hearts workshop where they carried out a heart rate investigation, looked at blood samples under a microscope, looked inside the rib cage using a cool app, & even touched a real pigs heart!

A team have been working hard over the last few weeks on the Cornwall First Lego League competition, designing and building a robot & coding it around the course & presenting to judges, what a fantastic opportunity thank you @Serco for sponsoring us @stemcornwall @rnasculdrose

Holly Hub are delighted to have won the Champions Award and are so excited to be going through to the Nationals! They also came 3rd in Robot Performance, and 2nd in Innovation Project & Robot Design. We are very proud of them!

Across the school last week we had some activities to promote wellbeing and regular 'brain breaks' one of the activities Holly Class enjoyed was planting in the woodland area
