@h00sier23 And considering Barrett has been displayed ALL over the media standing next to Trump to basically promote his accomplishments for his campaign, it seems logical to assume she’ll also be in favor. Huge steps backwards for women. THAT creates fear for me. Not the media bashing her.
Shit isn’t even about best interest of the people anymore, it’s about having power and control. This is literally terrifying and if you don’t think so, you need to open your eyes.
@h00sier23 Right, but how will interpretation of the Constitution change? There’s already talk of overturning Roe vs. Wade, that’s a HUGE one for women’s rights. Speaking of, the Trump administration has been trying to overturn the Equal Rights Act since ratification in January...
@h00sier23 You’re right, it’s nothing new. It’s happened before. And that’s what’s scary. We haven’t seen this type of conservative majority in 70 years: pre civil rights movement, pre same sex marriage rights, pre abortion rights...what happens now?
@Conservative99 That doesn’t mean each justice doesn’t have a political stance on issues and a preferred agenda. Have you done any reading on the potential overturning of Roe vs. Wade? Or what about Obergefell vs. Hodges? I can provide a link?
@Conservative99 Did you know it takes 4 justices to take a case in the Supreme Court? Just to simply accept a case. What happens to the cases of those of the LQBTQ+ community, police brutality, rights of minorities, etc? The cases that tend to be addressed by liberals?
