Trowl for Windows

Trowl is a Twitter client that uses Growl for Windows.

@sean_311 Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

RIP Trowl 2009-2018. Thanks to all who supported this little project over the years. I was probably the only user when the streaming APIs were deactivated, but it kept going right up until the end.

@sean_311 (3) I'd like to make those 'new tweet' notifications more configurable. Haven't had a chance to implement yet though.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@sean_311 (2) Which icons? Only twitter notifications will show generic trowl icon (new follower, retweet notification, etc.)

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@sean_311 Thanks for the feedback! I've noticed (1) happens sometimes if an old stream doesn't close properly. Shouldn't happen often though

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@nordpil yeah. I can hide that box in the case where there is no icon.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@nordpil Well, I don't think growlnotify sends an icon, so it's showing blank in the display. But I can still see it's cut off slightly.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@nordpil Hm interesting. Could be. I'll look into it, I haven't seen that before.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@nordpil Icon transparencies? Do you have an example?

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@AngryPatriotFan It sounds like with these new changes, I need to rework how non-stream calls get handled.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@AngryPatriotFan The problem is that with recent changes on Twitter's side, those calls are very restricted and you're running out.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@AngryPatriotFan It sounds like the stream is failing, can't reconnect, and so falls back to constant, individual calls.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@AngryPatriotFan If you restart Trowl do you get stream errors right away?

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@AngryPatriotFan Hm, are you running the latest version? (0.8)

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@Raydere Sounds reasonable, I'll see what I can do.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

I haven't seen any problems in the last week, so I'm making 0.8 official. Let me know if any bugs slipped through! http://t.co/OXeLs9eAif

@craigandera ... which is why I'm considering BitBucket ;) I'm neither cool nor a hipster -- at least, not by Austin standards. ;)

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@craigandera Right now there is only a google group. I'm thinking of adding Trowl to bitbucket for better bug/feature tracking.

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@craigandera Ah, okay, I understand now. I'll add that suggestion to the list :)

[Trowl for Windows @TrowlForWindows]

@craigandera If you mean a different notification style, you can do that in Growl settings, under Applications->Trowl.
