Hitter thoughts:
You gotta block out the noise, have extreme focus, control the pressure and anxiety, have your plan and compete.

Most hitters today aren’t being taught how to “hit”, they are being told how to “swing”.
They are told robotic movements that actually drain most of their natural athleticism and adjustability, which are extremely important aspects of in-game success and making a hitter great.

Life lessons disguised as

3) Respecting authority even when you may disagree
4) Overcoming fear, pressure and anxiety
5) Being able to persevere through challenging times
6) Learning to sacrifice selfish desires for the betterment of the team
7) Creating a competitive mindset that doesn’t like to lose
8) Learning to communicate well with coaches and teammates
9) Battling through nagging injuries, body aches and pains, fatigue
10) Building a work ethic and sacrifice needed to compete at a high level

BUT…
Don’t lose confidence
Don’t get negative
Don’t get overly emotional
Don’t dwell on the past

BECAUSE…
You’re ALWAYS one great swing away from catching fire
You’re ALWAYS one blooper away from things going your way
You’re ALWAYS one seeing eye single away from a hit streak
You’re ALWAYS one hard barrel away from the hitter you know you can be

It’s hitting. it’s hard, its challenging, it’s not meant to be easy, it’s 9 on 1, it’s brutal at times, so hang in there, EVERYONE goes through tough times!
