@pedonazi@MikeyCycling@theJeremyVine Wouldn't it be better if cat drivers didn't use their phones and speed and go through red lights, and cyclists didn't go through on red too?
8547 wrongs don't make something that is wrong and unlawful right. It's just wrong.
@timbo691969@fifeenv@MikeyCycling Sorry Tim. But exactly ยฃ0.00 of what you call car tax (VED), petrol or diesel tax goes to the upkeep of the roads. Council Tax pays for that.
@anna_lesle97903 @katee_K1 Actually hey senior officer said it was entirely justified and completely reasonable. It was all over the news a couple of years ago.
@chariletevez@MikeyCycling Hardly a decent defence that Charlie. Sorry I hit that child/cyclist/other car/wall (delete as appropriate) but I didn't see them.
@Corbainius @scrubbedlaunch@Mikeyt_78991@CitizenUddin Completely relevant. Like I said in my post. VED (what you call road tax (which incidentally Winston Churchill abolished in 19e7)) does not go to the upkeep of the roads. Nor does fuel tax.
Only trying to help Mark. It's a common mis-perception. But a mis-perception regardless.
@JamesPS77@Geniustechw No one pays tax to use the roads you tube. Unless you're taking about council tax.
Exactly ยฃ0.00 of VED or fuel tax goes to the upkeep of the roads.
Dick.
