Dr. Jane Goodall, the famed primatologist and conservationist, who recently passed away recently at the age of 91, in a moving and inspiring interview. She shows both her down-to-earth human side and her larger-than-life in an interview meant to be published after her passing.
Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview in March 2025 with the understanding it would only be released after her death. This is her final message from it.

Thanks to my terrific guest reviewers, Kevin Hong @atkinsrealis and Sam Goss @bfootarch_sam, we had an excellent studio review at @WSofArchi for our project on "Architecture of Urbanism: Land as Secret Weapon" for the amazing #StokesCroft area in #Bristol. Bravo to my students!
This week has again showcased the brilliance of our @WSofArchi students and colleagues! I worked with both 1st year and 2nd year M.Arch. students on their dissertation research, which was impressive for its depth and sophistication, under sage guidance from my great colleagues.
"There is no place on earth quite like India to re-arrange the furniture of the mind." I remember these words whenever I re-visit and re-discover #India, especially with my partner, who always brings a fresh perspective to all the amazing experiences we have. #MagicalMumbai!
On Tues., Nov. 5, 2024 at 12:30 pm, I’ll be at the University Illinois in Chicago to present work I have been doing through an international network of scholars, practitioners, and activists. The talk is open to the public, so I hope you can join us! https://t.co/EQikKDGQBF
Proud of my student, Roan Kitto at @WSofArchi, whose studio project "Stokes Craft"--created in partnership with @CroftTrust in #Bristol--was selected for publication in the international design magazine @Dezeen. Bravo, Roan, for crafting such elegance! https://t.co/TnufD3CyvN
One of the best things about conferences is the constant opportunity to learn anew. As a long-time comparative urbanist, I was curious about the #RGSIBG24 sessions entitled "Comparing Digital Digitalizations." Highly informative presentation on "comparative platform urbanisms"!
The best scholarship is not only deeply critical and contributory but also profoundly human and even moving. A beautiful discussion with @michelelancione and a panel about his book, For a Liberatory Politics of Home, organized by @ColinMcFarlane3 at #RGSIBG24#RGSIBG2024. Bravo!
Thank you James Chesire @spatialanalysis Annelys de Vet @annelys and Stephen Legg @Stephenlegg11 for an extremely thoughtful and provocative opening session at #RGSIBG24. I highly recommend looking up their fascinating work!
Please join us for a special session at #RGSIBG24#RGSIBG2024 on #CoDesigningPublics: Radical Democracy and Transformative Urbanisms" on Thurs. Aug. 29, 2024 from 16:50 until 18:30 in Room 741, Blackett Building, Imperial College, South Kensington Campus, London SW7 2AZ.
