@harleylama My dad built one of these in the 60’s as well. Always had water and rotten grain in the bottom of it. We hated it The best part he cemented the discharge auger in cone bottom when he built it. That was fun to work on.

They are actually seed corn maggot adults. Particularly like freshly tilled soil & manure. Most cases seed treatment can fend off low-moderate pops, biblical numbers not so much. First insect impact of a warm winter!!
