"Rightly distinguishing the Law and the Gospel is the most difficult and the highest art of Christians in general and of theologians in particular. It is taught only by the Holy Spirit in the school of experience." -C.F.W. Walther #bible#love#hope#grace
“In Genesis, God descended and scattered tongues to prevent unity; in Acts, the Spirit descends and scatters tongues to create multicultural unity (1: 14; 2: 1, 42, 44–46).”

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine... https://t.co/SyIiFKpabL
@birdchadlouis Chad, what are your views on preterism? Would you consider yourself a partial preterist, a full preterist, or neither? How do you understand Jesus’ statements that “this generation” would witness the fulfillment of His prophecies?
Here is Psalm 1 (NIV 1984):
Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers

These things cannot happen until after we have by faith been justified, reborn, and received the Holy Spirit. This is because, first, it is impossible to keep the law without Christ and, second it is impossible to keep the law without the Holy Spirit.
Article IV: Justification

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
