@sharrond62 They do, I’ve done an assessment this week at 26,6k per year all in. Top pip. Rent at 500pm and full uc. For one single disabled adult who will never work or live without support. But the daily fail to on like this is the norm, it isn’t. When it is the case, it’s deserved
@sharrond62 Oh come on, only severely disabled ppl get that much, as they should. Being disabled costs more, thus their income is slightly above min wage. Joe blogs on the dole is on between 4k and 5k per year depending on age.
@MartinSLewis Junior cash isa just about to turn 18, where to put the funds? If it’s transferred to a Lisa and he withdraws would he face 25% penalty on the whole lot? Thank you :)
As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.
@MartinSLewis Oh imagine the horror, ppl who for many reasons don’t have a mortgage, but many who wish they did, then being asked to sub home owners #ouch#notgoingtohappen
@JeremyVineOn5 I would rather 300k of taxpayers £s funded x15 ppl on sickness benefits over one posh plum who’s so out of touch with reality he believes 4mil ppl are being supported by the state as they’re work shy, rather than min wage isn’t enough to live on, thus gov subbing big business
A very important statement from the UN condemning threats & intimidation against women expressing their opinions on sex & sexual orientation. I hope politicians, political parties & all in public life will take careful note of this. https://t.co/DcmBTQ5Uy8
