When we warned you that they'd pass a total ban on abortion in North Carolina if @markrobinsonNC was elected Governor, this is what we meant. This is the bill they wanted to pass, but can't.

House Bill 804 would be the strictest abortion ban in the nation. Not only does it ban abortion in every situation except to save a woman's life (with no other exceptions), it also seeks to punish and imprison women who seek abortions, with up to life in prison without parole and a $100,000 fine.

This is the bill that has majority support in the Republican caucus.

Thankfully, @JoshStein_ is Governor, and they don't have the votes to override his veto on this. And the first rule of legislating is, you don't bring up bills you don't have the votes for. So this thing is dead - for now.

But if you give these people an inch, they're out here showing you what they want to do.
