AI has read the entire internet.
Now it has to show receipts.
This is the data problem nobody in AI wants to talk about, and the registry moving onto @SuiNetwork to fix it.

Start with the numbers.
Epoch AI studied how much public human text exists and how fast models consume it.

Their 2024 study projected that tech companies could exhaust the supply of publicly available training text somewhere between 2026 and 2032.

Two years earlier, their first paper had pointed to 2026 for high-quality text. The text fed into language models has been growing about 2.5x per year.Compute has been growing about 4x per year.
Appetite is outrunning supply.
Now add the legal side.

Copyright lawsuits against AI companies went from around 30 at the end of 2024 to over 70 by the end of 2025. By mid-2026, one tally counted more than 130. One settlement alone reached $1.5 billion. The race for better AI is quietly turning into a race for clean data.

And "clean" has one meaning: you can prove where it came from, who agreed, and who got paid. That is exactly what @datafdn built Trace to do, and why it is now joining Sui and Walrus.

Every AI model needs computing power, And behind much of that power are GPUs, the hardware used to train models, run inference, and serve AI applications.
But GPU rental prices aren't fixed. They move with demand, hardware availability, and competition among providers.

When demand rises, developers may face higher computing bills. When rental prices fall, infrastructure providers may earn less from the same hardware.

So here's an interesting question:
What if the cost of AI compute could be tracked and traded like a financial market?
