@RBReich how much more would they be paying in taxes? I have a radical idea, save a worker making $30,000 a year $5800 by suspending income tax. Why don't you ever advocate for that? Something the government could actually do to help low income Americans?

its interesting that Trudeau wants to make people take a vaccine by force and can’t understand why some aren’t responding well… and at the same time isn’t responding well to being forced to take it away 😂

@TRCOB4 @ninaturner @RBReich i see where you're coming from! short term, that sounds good. but long term it stagnates poor communities and takes away the chance to come back into prosperity, for the reasons I outlined in that screen grab I sent. its harsher, but in the long run, leads to better outcomes imo.

@TRCOB4 @ninaturner @RBReich okay i had to sign up to get this chart lol but here's the straight data: about half of min wage workers are between 16-24 yrs. And it looks like its around 1,000,000 workers in the entire US are making it, not sure how that squares with the other chart.

@TRCOB4 @ninaturner @RBReich that's not what I said, what I said was, 15% are the people that you think are on minimum wage, a mom with a son for instance. And again, like i mentioned in that screengrab, min wage does not go up in a vacuum. it stagnates poor areas, loses jobs and does not reduce poverty.
