She was sure that she'd already read this from somewhere, she couldn't place where in her head though. Lois stayed silent, following and nodding when appropriate.
Heels clicking against the marble floor as they proceeded to the elevator.
"Vought Tower was built in 2013 for the one hundred and seventh birthday of our founder Frederick Vought. It was designed by Zaha Hadid-- as you can see, it's a classic modern."
she jumps a little at the clapping then takes what she needs in terms of information and snacking. Lois then politely declines a drink.
"lead the way, I guess."
"Great." And she's clapping her hands-- just like magic summoning a swarm of interns. One to hand out fliers, another a drink, another snacks, and another for souvenirs.
"Let's begin then!"
She'd quickly receive the text, putting her under 'Lois Lane - Daily Planet'.
"I can give you a tour of Vought tower if you like? Show you our hall of heroes?" Everything was tainted with PR for this one.
"Well, you are / the / investigative journalist, so I suspect you know when your sources are trying to sell you a story or not." She'd give a slight shrug.
"You need sourcesโ you just tell me and I'll contact everyone on my list."
"Claims are claims, can't say if they are true or not without digging. I'm sure you know that more than most."
Lois looks at her, really looks at her. She's a good judge of character but even to her something rings an alarm bell in the back of her mind.
"you can, hm?"
She'd allow her lips to purse into a thin line. "I haven't heard of any of those from my side of the pond, and I'm the superhero industry itself." A pretty bold claim, of course.
"Well, if you need sourcesโ I can definitely help."
"Vanishings, deaths. That kind of thing, haven't dug too deep into it yet."
Lois shrugs, though knowing her it probably wouldn't take her long.
"I'd need to establish connections, meet with people. That kind of thing."
Well, there was certainly a lot of superhero issues in Vought but she wasn't about to get loose lipped over that in front of a journalist.
"Superhero issues?" She's feigning innocence.
"here and there. I'm trying to pivot my focus a little now, focusing on a lot of the superhero issues this side of country."
She notices, though it's endearing of course.
She reaches, takes the card and looks at it briefly and then slides it into her pocket. Lois nods again, this would definitely help.
"thank you for the kind offer, I might just take you up on that."
Oh she's absolutely flustered! Lane was practically a god to her growing up.
"For your publicity needsโ anything. You give me a call." She'd slip a card out of her pocket. 'Victoria Vale - Vought International Chief Operating Officer' it read.
A smile creeps onto her face, it's nice to be known to this extend. That way she doesn't have to exposit her whole life story up until this point, she nods seemingly flattered about this.
her hand takes the others and she shakes it once or twice.
"Victoria Vale? lovely name -
Lois Lane? Like from that big paper?
Cue her immediately going into publicity mode. "Oh my god! I loved your Luthor Corp exposeโ and the piece on the red son scandal. I used it as a source material for my dissertation in college." Extending her hand.
"Victoria Vale."
"I'm new to the area, moved here the other week. I just wanted to get my life together before I let myself known to this side of the world."
Her head tilts to the side, she sticks her hand out for a handshake.
"Lois Lane, pleasure to meet you."
