@0xSUPERGEMMA Cool, I hadn't realised your core narrative was Jedi training for great OSS developers that are non-crypto native! 🫡 Accompanying then through the initial steps with coaching/mentoring/training on this ecosystem seems a great validation.
@coingecko The meme Trump plushy that just dropped at his store 😂
Imagine the MAGA people buying it for the 4th of July
There's still no news about it, no posts
@IgorBlinkk@feibo03@jun_song from SuperGemma on funding through Bankr (founder framing it as an alternative to early VC dependence):

I’ve talked to many developers about this topic recently.
A lot of people want to contribute to open source, but the biggest issue is always "money."
They have families to support and bills to pay, but in reality, less than 0.1% of open source developers actually receive sponsorships.
Even with my visibility, the total sponsorships I’ve received over the past few months is just $250. (I am deeply grateful to those who supported me.)
Other than that, it’s mostly just DGX rentals for research, and I’m covering the rest of my living expenses with my X Creator payouts.
Other amazing open source developers are having an even harder time than this.
Historically, the open source community has avoided talking about "money," but that exact culture has been holding the ecosystem back from growing.
I don’t like bringing up sensitive topics either, but I realized someone has to say it so we can solve this fundamental problem.
While thinking about this, I’ve been watching @bankrbot for about a month.
I realized that if its fee distribution system is used "correctly," it could actually enable funding for these open source developers.
Of course, I know many people have negative views on crypto. But for open source to win, we absolutely need a way to solve this core issue.
Open source will overcome these challenges and win in the end.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

@IgorBlinkk@feibo03 What's wrong with it?
As you scale, you'll need users and community. See this token as your first wave of beta users, community support, word of mouth, and also a way to have recurring income.
