The core idea behind Connect is simple: even a newly launched coin should be able to be backed by another asset. It doesn’t matter if it’s an established token, a meme coin, a real-world asset, or a newly launched coin with a $10K market cap. Connect allows these assets to be used as backing, creating a new way for newly launched tokens to build markets around other assets from the moment they launch.
As shown in the video, you can take a newly launched coin and back it with another newly launched meme coin or any supported asset through Connect. This is the infrastructure we’re building on RobinHood making it possible to connect new tokens with other assets instead of limiting them to traditional forms of backing.
Small UI change we’re working on: keeping the selected pair visible for longer in the setup flow. Once you choose something like AAPLx, WBTC, ETH or another asset, you shouldn’t have to remember what you picked while finishing the rest of the token settings.
We’re also spending time on how the pair list behaves as it gets larger.
Showing a few assets is easy. Showing stocks, commodities, major crypto assets, meme coins and other tokens without making the picker feel slow or messy is the harder part.
So we’re testing how assets are surfaced, how quickly the list responds when people move between options, and how much information actually needs to load at each step.
Another part we’re working through is custom pairs. A fixed list is useful, but it doesn’t really match the idea of being able to twin a coin with almost anything. We’re exploring a cleaner way to handle assets outside the main list without making the launch flow harder to understand.
We’ve been cleaning up the review state before launch. The pair needs to be impossible to miss, especially when assets can come from completely different categories. We want users to see the coin, the chosen asset and the important setup details together before they move forward.
You can also use Connect’s native token as the asset to pair with your newly launched token. Instead of relying only on external assets, creators can launch a token and connect it directly with the Connect ecosystem.
Everything remains on-chain and verifiable, with the paired asset clearly visible. Whether you’re pairing with another new token, a real-world asset, or Connect’s native token, the goal stays the same: give every newly launched token a way to build its market from day one.
Still refining the core idea rather than piling on unnecessary features.
Right now the focus is making “create a coin, choose the pair” work as clearly as possible. Once that flow feels right, everything else has a much stronger foundation to build on.
A product like this has to keep the token creation flow and the selected pair in sync from the moment you start until the moment you’re ready to launch.
We’re tightening that experience so changing a selection, moving between steps, or reviewing the launch doesn’t make the process feel inconsistent.
We noticed the most important part of the product can also become the busiest part of the screen.
Stocks, crypto, commodities and other assets all competing for space gets messy quickly. We’re refining the pair picker so the amount of choice stays high while the interface stays simple.
We’re changing how the pair is presented before a user confirms a launch.
When you can twin a coin with very different types of assets, it needs to be immediately obvious what you actually selected. A stock pair, a commodity pair and a crypto pair shouldn’t all blur together visually.
We’re working on making the selected asset more prominent, keeping the token and its pair visible together, and reducing the amount of information competing for attention at the final stage.
It sounds like a small UI detail, but it matters. If someone is creating a market around a specific asset, they should never have to stop and wonder whether they picked the right one.
Create the coin. Choose the pair. Know exactly what you’re launching.
A lot of the current work is about making different asset types feel like they belong inside the same product.
A stock pair shouldn’t require one completely different flow, while a crypto pair uses another and a commodity pair uses something else again. That would defeat the point.
We’re building toward one consistent launch experience where the creator starts with the coin, chooses the asset, reviews the setup and moves forward regardless of what category that asset belongs to.
Behind that, we’re also testing how the flow holds up when people move quickly between choices, revisit previous steps or switch the pair before finishing.
The bigger direction hasn’t changed: give creators more freedom over what a new coin can trade against on Robinhood Chain.
A lot of the work right now is making sure that freedom still feels simple when someone actually uses it.
The promo says “Create The Coin. Choose The Pair.” and that’s pretty much the standard we’re using while building the product.
If a screen or step gets in the way of those two actions, we’re looking at whether it really needs to be there.
One thing we’ve been working through is how much information belongs on the launch screen at once.
You’re setting the token identity, choosing what it trades against, looking at fees and then reviewing the final setup. It can get crowded pretty quickly if every option is fighting for attention.
We’re simplifying the layout and giving each decision a clearer place in the flow. The token details should be easy to scan, the selected pair should always be obvious, and the final setup shouldn’t require you to go back through the page just to remember what you picked.
Small build update: we’re cleaning up the jump between creating the coin and choosing the pair. Those two actions are the whole point of the product, so they shouldn’t feel like separate tools stitched together. The current focus is making that flow feel like one continuous setup from start to finish.
Connect is a launchpad built on RobinHood for a simple idea: newly launched tokens should be able to connect with any asset from the moment they launch. A token can be backed with an established asset, a real-world asset, or even another newly launched meme coin — regardless of whether that token is already at scale or sitting at a $10K market cap.
Everything is on-chain and verifiable. When a token is launched through Connect, the asset it is paired with is clearly displayed, making the backing transparent to anyone. We’re building Connect to give every new token a way to connect with another asset and create a market around it from day one.
Everything is on-chain and fully verifiable. You can pair a token with any supported asset, and the paired asset is clearly shown on the token’s badge as well.
We launched one test token which is backed by our Native Token $CONNECT
If it can be backed by our token, it can be backed by your token too. Try now !
