Always makes me smile when I see someone going on their path, whatever it is, or however gay I think it is.
Take a guy who started going to the gym and just can't stop talking about it, he is living like never before in his mind.
A person training for a marathon because to him it represents success is ALL IN.
A person on a diet to not die and see his kids grow is ALL IN.
A Person playing WoW making sure he has the best gear to do the best dungeons is ALL IN.
A person thinking he absolutely needs money because Tate said it is ALL IN.
^ All these examples are pretty much cases where depression isn't a thing. So make sure you always have that dog in you to do whatever goes through your mind and believe has importance.
The health freak, the NPC doing his little things (he's probably having a happier life than some try hard self-improvement type), the guy worried about his privacy but not health and vice versa, someone who focuses on one philosophy like hedonism while someone focuses on pure discipline and hard work, people being all-in making money or politics, those who are broke but give them a beer and a cig and they are the happiest people in the world.
At the end of the day it all comes down to perception, the way you feel you have to live your life, and everyone is different, and you can't change much about destiny, or perhaps you can (again, perception).
But a piece of advice I can give from what I believe is true, is to stay true to yourself. You are not someone else, you are writing your own life story. When I understood this I became truly happy and in touch with my reality.
So yeah, whatever path you're following, keep going, or change it, but always stay on one, always stay in movement, or fake the importance of something insignificant. Ignore whatever people say or think, just be.
What is sad is someone who doesn't follow any path, someone who is depressed, who lost hope and love, and just stopped following something. Because even stopping to meditate and reflect is a great thing, but that's somehow still another path.
Losing the spark of life is all around us, and if somehow you can reignite people's life by showing - not imposing - them something cool, or the way you live, things you like, I think that's awesome.
