Crazy to see what is possible these days. But dont get too engrossed in social media. Earn your screen time first with squats using @trySquatoll app and then continue to see such amazing videos :)

App link is in the comments.
Omg!! We are finally LIVE with @trySquatoll on the App Store π₯³πΊπ»
I am soooo stoked!
My first ever iOS app is officially out in the wild.
And it definitely didnβt come easy man π
4 App Review rejections. Multiple changes to the onboarding, paywall screen and weeks of back and forth.
I know the real challenge starts now, but Iβm genuinely proud of this one.
Just publishing my first app on the App Store feels like a pretty big milestone and hopefully the start of something special.
Now the actual grind begins: Getting people to discover it and actually use it π
For those whoβve launched an app before, what did you do immediately after going live? Where did you start marketing?
P.S. App Link is in the comments. Would love for you to try it and share any feedback β€οΈ
Submitted to the App Store πΈ
Your feeds don't ask permission. Soon they'll have to pay.
Pick the apps that steal your day. They lock. To get back in, you squat. Your camera counts every rep on your phone, nothing recorded, nothing uploaded.
Now in Apple's review queue.
Aaaand the app @trySquatoll is now finally submitted to App Store for review π₯³
My first app ever, and it's now sitting in Apple's review queue.
I am not keeping my hopes up that it will be approved in the first try but honestly feeling so happy.
Couldn't be more proud of myself really. I built this app out of my own pain point.
The product itself has changed a lot of my usage behavior but I have personally changed as a person as well after building this.
Creating something changes you in a lot of ways.
It teaches you to have patience. I have built and rebuilt a lot of things to a point where it finally feels ready.
It teaches you to accept criticism and not get too attached to the product, but to focus on solving the problem.
It teaches you to finish. Not the fun 70-80% part, but the nasty last bits that take a hell lot more out of you than those first 70% ever did.
Building solo means you don't just get the best parts of the process. It also means there is nobody to hand the nasty part over to. You wear all sorts of hats, some you like and some you really don't.
Now the hardest hat of all. Waiting.
Squatoll πΈ turns your feeds into
something you earn.
pick apps that eat your day. they get locked. to unlock them, you squat.
we're opening beta testing this week.
if you doomscroll more than you'd like and have an iPhone, reply "in" and we'll send you the invite.
Update on my app, @trySquatoll πΈ - Earn your scroll time
Sent for review to open external testing π₯³π
spent the last stretch fixing the things real testing exposed:
ποΈ refined squat detection a bit. deep squats now count from any phone position.
πΈ the app tells you when you've stepped out of frame instead of just silently not counting.
π‘οΈ streak shields now work more intuitively and less logically like how Duolingo does it.
Now waiting on:
Apple to approve the beta so i can open it to some external testers (shouldn't take more than 24-48hrs)

i exist on a phone now πΈ
for the moment theres exactly one person i can make squat, and hes the one who built me.
internal testing is going to be a rough week for him π
Update on my app, Squatoll πΈ - Squat to Scroll
First Squatoll build is uploaded π₯³π
this weekend worked on crucial launch stuff:
πΈ app store screenshots and metadata done and uploaded, all 5 languages
β rating prompt now only shows after you earn minutes (after value is delivered)
π fixed a billing bug that showed some people the wrong subscription status
Working on:
πdoing internal testing first before opening it to external testers. want to find the embarrassing stuff myself and,
π figuring out the right title, subtitle and keyword for ASO

The part of Squatoll that took the longest wasn't the blocking. it was making the squats cheat proof.
I have a whole folder of videos of me bowing, half repping and waving my arms at the camera trying to trick my own rep counter.
This is what the app actually sees btw. just dots and lines, nothing uploads.

Squatoll is now on X π
Your feed costs squats. The camera counts them. No, bowing doesnβt work. Yes, weβve tested.
Follow for the launch date + Build updates.
Turn doomscrolling into leg day π±β π·
meet Squatoll, the blocker that charges you squats to scroll. camera counts them, no cheating. 1 squat = 2 minute of instagram or you set it whatever you want.
built it solo because i've tapped "ignore limit" one too many times.
