Bungie was the dream job. I feel beyond fortunate I was able to work on Destiny 2 for the past five years, to see Marathon grow into its own, and to have met so many talented and kind people. I'd do it all again.
If you need a visual/graphic designer, I'll be looking for work.
If I was a Rival Company to SONY, I'd make a New Studio and hire everyone laid off at Bungie.
You'd have teams from Raid and Dungeon, Cinematics, Sandbox, etc. Who made some of the best gaming content ever.
Just make sure Leadership isn't fucking idiots and sky's the limit lol
After nearly 4 years at Bungie, my role has been eliminated as of today.
It has truly been a pleasure to have worked on Marathon and Destiny with such talented individuals for so long. Testing at Bungie really was different, but I'm going to miss my team the most 💙💚
Seeing Destiny 2 be stripped away it’s heart & soul hurts.. The devs impacted by the layoffs played such a critical role in making this game as special as it was.
I don’t want Destiny to end, and every day the reality of the situation keeps slapping me on the face. The rollercoaster of emotions from dooming to coping to hopelessness is unfair.
I don’t want to see these devs, the DNA of current Destiny, go. I don’t want to see Destiny, my game for years, go.
This really sucks & makes me want to give up.
this really feels like the end of Destiny as we know it
i don’t think we'll ever see another Destiny release again
heartbreaking to see what has become of Bungie, a studio that helped define an entire generation of FPS games
Laid off but here some notable things I did sound for, either all of or parts of: Marathon: UESC everything, Dropships, Doors, Barriers, Cryo Vault experience, Graffiti, elevators, random objects, machines, terminals, explosions, intractables…
Destiny 2: Skimmers, (1/2)
The entire team I used to work with, the leads who managed me, the people who hired me, all just gone.
these people were veterans from the halo days. generational talent just gone.
:/
My aching heart to everyone at Bungie.
The people I met there are without exception among the very kindest & most astoundingly talented artists & engineers & creators and craftspersons & human beings I've ever, ever met, much less had the chance to work with.
All my love. 💜
I sincerely thought Bungie was going to be my forever home in this industry.
Alas, I'm back on the job market. I'm immensely proud of the work I got to do on Destiny, and the people I got to build an experience of a lifetime with.
Disrespectfully @Sony@PlayStation
FUCK YOU .... Y'all clowns cant make a good live service game but end up neutering a studio that actually can.
@hermenhulst .... Y'all cant make a live service game thats successful without Bungie
HUGE MISTAKE
Most of the Destiny team gone, just like that.
Unbelievable to let go some of the most talented people on the planet that made Destiny feel special, literally.
Anger is an understatement.
Launch the suits into a black hole.
Pantheon 2 is the last thing I will have worked on at Bungie.
Despite everything it has been an honor to work on Destiny 2. Please know with deep sincerity that we wanted more than anything to make you smile. See you starside, Guardians
