@nomercyHMRC I feel your pain. It has been ongoing since 2013 for me and I came close to ending it all in 2017 and, if it wasn't for my fantastic wife and family, I probably would have. Still, the envelopes turn up; the last one over two and a half years after me writing to them.

When HMRC don’t understand the tax system how do they expect their ‘customers’ to do so, and how can they give a pass to professional, fully qualified accountants, employed to help those ‘customers’ manage the tax system. Instead they hound the ‘customer’ to suicides 🤷‍♂️

Hi @SarahEGabbai . Is there any appetite amongst government to consider yours and @keithmgordon proposal on the loan charge?

With so many receiving sudden payment demands from HMRC, it would be helpful to understand whether what you proposed has legs.

@loanchargeAPPG can you please let us know whether you will be bringing the huge HMRC payment demands to the attention of government and @hmtreasury so that this can be halted and a solution be found that doesn't involve the loss of more lives!

You were, apparently, managing a spreadsheet for the solution and had incorrectly flagged me against the wrong trust. Remember?

#LoanChargeScandal So tonight Martin Lewis says if you have paid too much tax you can’t claim it back if it’s before 2018/19. Seems a bit tight when they hound people to death the other way round.

@wealthagent I think the manner in which you are doing it is somewhat questionable. As is beginning a reply with, "Unbelievable". It's aggressive and unnecessary. People turned to LCAG and WTT for help and your mission seems to be to totally discredit anything and everything they have done.
