New birb painting!

After 2 months of painting and over 4 months of thinking about it, this project is officially complete!

A ridiculously ambitious project given my little amount of prior experience, but, with a bit of trial and error, I'm super happy with how it turned out😊

My first painting of 2021! Finally had some inspiration 😃

I tried to recreate a scene from a web novel I fell in love with this year!

It's called Soft Touch and I can't praise it enough! My face hurts from smiling too hard after every chapter! Highly recommend!

I like keeping the palettes from my paintings as well as my failed attempts at a painting, I feel like they tell their own story that you can't see from the finished product alone.

This was inspired by a wonderful story called Soft Touch, that is available to read for free on Tapas.

It's aggressively wholesome, a bit magic, and very queer. An absolute joy to read.🌱

The leaves of the Guardian Tree dance gently in the cold breeze above me, speckling me with pale sunlight (8/11) 🍃

But if she has to choose a different song to play alongside her own, till death do they part - well, the song of a sweet little bird doesn't sound so bad. (7/11)

I used a lot of metallic silver paint on this one. Doesn't translate well in photo, but I like it in person 😊
